“Observant K. Howler” Has 24 years experience and is looking for a new remote role as a DevOps / Security / Admin Dude.

I like to get things done. Load me up with a lot of stories in your favorite tracking system (Jira, Rally, Trello, etc) and watch me burn them down. As a result, I hate meetings with a passion. Meetings are were work goes to die. Some are necessary, but most can be solved by direction communication. If you're looking for a No BS jack of all trades that loves to get work done, I'm your guy.

  • Has 24 years experience in field

Notable Projects

  • I built a self-patching, autoscaling CI/CD server system.
  • I built several complete architectures using Terraform, Chef, AWS, Jenkins, Linux, NginX, and SQL&NoSQL, in multiple language stacks.
  • Train and mentor individuals and classrooms on topics such as livestock, automation or firearms.

Ideal Company

My ideal company would be as no BS as I am. Team oriented, spirit of working together, few meetings, no "work for works sake". I'm more motivated by helping my team mates out than by what product or widget we are trying to corner the market with. To me, (cliche I know), getting things done is reward enough.

What I won't tolerate is outright inefficiencies, grandstanding or throwing people under the bus.
