“Promising S. Kangaroo” Has 2 years experience and is looking for a new role as a Product Designer in Chicago, IL.

Hello! I'm currently working as a Visual/UX Designer in the airline industry, bringing fully responsive and WCAG 2.0/2.1 design patterns to users. I think the web should be for for everybody. Along with working in mobile first and accessibility spaces, I enjoy in working throughout the UX process by conducting research, establishing architecture, creating and testing prototypes, as well as designing/documenting polished UI patterns.

I've been in Chicago for about a year, and the design community has allowed me to gain these skills so early in my career. I'd love to continue working as a product designer that values designing for accessibility, usability and human people.

Ideal Company

I've always been interested in e-learning/education or government industries. I would be excited to apply my experience with user research and accessibility to digital and physical experiences in those spaces. I've worked in for both small start-ups and large corporations, so I've gotten to experience the benefits and pain points in those cultures. My ideal team size would be to work with 1 or 2 other designers along with a design lead or manager. It's also very important to me to work closely with development/engineering so that we are building something together. I love being able to have visibility to what other design or non-design teams are working on.
